Basic MAG / MIG Welding Course

Basic MAG (Metal Active Gas) welding, communally known as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding.

Objective :

The object of the course is to help and give guidance and support to the individual who has little to no experience of MAG welding and would wish to learn the foundation skills of MAG welding which may help in employment or hobby interests.

Course Content :

  • Safe working practices.
  • personal protective equipment.
  • Setting up pf equipment shielding gases.
  • Transfer modes.
  • Workshop welding experience.

  General :

All candidates who attend this course must bring the required PPE which includes overalls that are flame retardant and a pair of safety boots with steel toe cap inserts.

 Who should attend :

Anyone can attend the course, if you have little to no experience or may have basic skills and wish to improve on these.
