Advanced Apprenticeship in Business and Administration

Entry Qualifications :

This qualification requires that you have achieved level 2 or equivalent and you should have a permanent employment within a business and administrative role.  You must be aged between 16 and 24 to qualify for the Advanced Apprenticeship programme.

What Are The Costs :

There is no cost to the learner or work placement company, training costs are met by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC).

Course Content :

Learners attend workshops at the Training Centre once a month for study towards achieving the Advanced Apprenticeship framework which consists:

  • NVQ L2 in Business Administration (work-based learning)
  • Certificate in Administration Level 2 (theory and knowledge)
  • Key Skills in Communication (literacy)
  • Key Skills in Application of Number (numeracy)

Alternatively, this qualification can be conducted in company as a distance learning course.

Learners also have the opportunity of completing added-value qualifications in ICT and the Certificate in Text Processing at Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Levels - subjects include:

  • Text Production (layout of formal business correspondence)
  • Word Processing (specialist business docs using a word)
  • Mail Merge (one letter sent to several addressees)
  • Business Presentations (presentations using PowerPoint)
  • Document Presentation (create business documents)
