Manual Handling (Operator)

Objective :

To be able to recognize the dangers involved in the manual handling of items. To be able to risk assess manual handling operations. To understand the techniques of kinetic lifting.

• Duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Assessing loads.
• Types of equipment.
• Kinetic lifting techniques.

Anyone within a work environment who in the course of their work lift items of weight or awkward size.
