Digital Tacograph

Objective :

All new vehicles of the categories which had to be equipped with analogue recording equipment in accordance with (EEC) Number 3821/85 and (EEC) Number 3820/85 in the past, require digital recording equipment from 01 May 2006.  There is currently no general obligation to retro-fit older vehicles.

This change was introduced with the implementation of (EU) Regulation 2135/98 of September 1998 and subsequent EU derived legislation.

The advent of the digital tachograph has seen a great many companies experiencing difficulties when purchasing new vehicles from 01 May 2006 fitted with new equipment.

Doncaster GTA is able to offer full training on the use digital tachograph equipment, incorporating the use of computer software simulation and hands on practical exercises using our state of the art simulator.
