FLT Instructor Course

Objective :

To be able to instruct operators to national standards on forklift trucks (HSE AWP L117 Appendix 5).  To gain RTITB instructor accreditation status.

Course Content :

• Theory legislation relating to forklift use
• Lesson planning, preparation, delivery
• Theory exam
• Practical exam

General :

The course is largely practical by nature.  Delegates must hold either a CIB or reach operators certificate less than 12 months old.  The course is externally examined.

Pass rates 2006 = 95% / 2005 = 90%

Duration :

10 days for a new instructor
5 days refresher
5 days assimilation (contact for details)
