Mobile Elevated Platforms (MEWP) Training

Objective :

To be able to safely operate a mobile elevated work platform to standards described in LOLER 98 and working at heights regulations 2005.

  Course Content :

  • Safety awareness.

  • Risk assessment.

  • Choosing right equipment.

  • PPE usage.

  • Practical - setting up - PPE - operating.

  General :

Suitable for all persons required to use this type of equipment.
Separate operators certificates are required for scissor and boom type lifts.

Duration :

Dependant on delegates skills and experience.  See below.

Scissor Lift
Novice Training 3 days.
Experienced Operator 2 days. **
Refresher Training 1 day.

Elevated Boom
Towed Training and Self Propelled Training.

** Experienced training refers to 80 hours or more experience.
