Shunting LGV Training

Objective :

To be able to safely drive a shunt vehicle on site for the purpose of moving trailers around.

Course Content :

• Safety awareness / duties under HASAWA 74.
• Pre-use inspection.
• Coupling / uncoupling.
• Practical maneuvering - test.

General :

• Site and vehicles must be safe.
• Delegates must have a suitable appreciation of driving and also have the correct physical fitness to carry out this task.

Duration :

Dependant on delegates skills and experience. 

Novice Training - 2 days - 1 day G.T.A. and 1 day Onsite Training.

Experienced Training - 1 day - Onsite.
