This qualification aims to raise awareness of the dangers caused by large vehicles reversing. The course introduces practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers whilst they are carrying out a reverse manoeuvre.

What will you learn?

  • Conduct a dynamic risk assessment of the reverse area.

  • Provide effective communication to all parties.

  • Explain the risks involved with reversing vehicles.

  • Demonstrate the HSE’s recommended scope of hand signals.

  • Guide large vehicles safely around premises

Qualification

Candidates will be provided with a GTA in-house certification of competence on completion of the course.
