Fire Safety Awareness

This course will provide learners with the information about fire risks within work premises and what are the safety measures that need to be in place to control them. This provides information on peoples responsibilities, the common causes of fires, how to prevent them, the fire arrangements that are necessary and the importance of following emergency procedures. 

Qualification

 

This in-house certificate doesn't expire, however based on industry best practice guidelines, the recommended renewal period for this training is 1 year.

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Identify the 'fire triangle', explaining how a fire can start.

  • What the law requires of businesses regarding fire safety and what everyone's responsibilities are.

  • Explain the importance of a fire risk assessment.

  • The ways to prevent or control fires within your workplace.

  • The type of detection and warning systems that should be in place.

  • The different types of fire safety signs that a workplace should have in place.

  • How to ensure that your workplace has evacuation routes and exits remain effective at all times.

  • The evacuation procedures that businesses should have in place.
